Llangollen, limer, Edward Powell of the same place, farmer, John Powell of the same place, farmer, and Richard Browne of Wrexham, gent. Lease and Release by 2 with the consent of 1 to 3, and with the intent of merging a term of 500 years in the freehold, of a piece of ground with a tan-house, tan pits, bark bays and buildings in Llangollen, at the back of two houses belonging to 1, to be separated from the yard belonging to the two houses by a wall to be made nine feet high and to be repaired at the joint expense of 1 and 3, who are to have the privelege of adding a further wall as shown in the map endorsed on this document, reserving to 1 and his tenants access by a cart road, through gates in the walls, to the yard of the said houses, in trust that the chapel to be constructed there will be a meeting house for Protestant Dissenters of the Independent persuasion; further trusts for the appointment of a minister and replacement of trustees; and power to forfeit rights in the said church if any member or trustee changes denomination; incorporating a Schedule Of Deeds, 1721-1796. Consideration: £250 to 2; £50 to 1. Recites: a mortgage by demise for 500 years for £250 from Ann Jones to 2, dated 2 May 1796; A.J. died intestate leaving 1 her heir at law; that the principal sum of £250 remains unpaid; that a church society of Christians (Independents) have contracted with 1 for the purchase of the said premises with a view to converting them into a meeting house for religious worship for £300, out of which the £250 mortgage still owing to 2 will be paid.
