Scope and content

Lady Hall, Llanover, to Mrs Taliesin Williams, Merthyr Tydfil. Enclosing a cheque for £25 as part of the sum due from the Committee of the W. MSS S. to Taliesin ab Iolo. She did ask Mr Price when (he was) last at Llanover if he would set a value on the MSS relating to the disposal of them to the British Museum, but he said he must positively decline doing so. How Mr Price told her in confidence that he would strongly advise Mrs Taliesin Williams and her son not to ask more than £150 or £200. Her fear that unless some satisfactory Catalogue is speedily shown it will be of no avail. Mr Wms of Aberpergwm is an executor and should be asked to advise and assist.
