History
In 2000 Clifford McLucas was awarded a senior research fellowship at Stanford University, California. He developed a proposal, entitled The Three Landscapes Project, for a shared research project to be housed at the Stanford Humanities Center. He worked with two other scholars - an archaeologist involved in a dig in Sicily and a theologian who had specialised on spirituality and landscape. The focus for the year was the landscape "event" of the San Andreas fault and three new bodies of work were generated - The Journal of the California Year, Thirteen Large Graphics Works (Towards a Deep Map) and a performed lecture series. The on-going work on the journal and the large graphics works were exhibited throughout the year on campus.
