The Rev. E. (Evan) Tawe Jones (b.1890) attended Wern School, Carmarthenshire, and Esgairdawe Congregational Chapel, 1905-1908. After being ordained as a minister, he served Pentre-ty-gwyn Congregational church, Carmarthenshire, leaving in 1921. He joined the Anglican church and became vicar of Llangwyryfon, Cardiganshire, 1936-1970. The Rev. Llewelyn J. Jones was curate of Fochriw, Glamorgan, 1932-1936.
