Inspeximus by Johanna Beauchamp, Lady of Bergavenny, of a Charter which Henry Greene, William Bagot, Kt., John Stynecle, William Wenlok, John Pykard and John Olney, lords of Bergavenny, made to Hoell ap Gryffith of Penros in the following words: Grant by Henry Grene, William Bagot Kt., John Stynecle, William Wenlok, John Pykard and John Olney, lords of Bergavenny, to Hoell ap Gruffith of Penros of 13 acres of land, lying in divers parcels in the bailwick of Penros, which Hoell previously held of them in villeigne, grant also that Hoell and all his progeny born and to be borne sahll be free and discharged of all claim of villeinage. Rent: 7s. 8 1/2 d. per annum at the Annunciation and Michaelmas, heriot, suit of Court at Penrhos and all other services and customs as other free tenants of Penros.
