The presence of medal ribbons, wound stripes and overseas service chevrons suggest the photo was taken after the end of the First World War.

In the bottom right hand corner of the negative "Cousins, RAMC" has been written. There is a element of doubt as to whether this definitely reads 'Cousins' but the RAMC is unequivocal.

On her upper arm she is displaying a shoulder patch being a diamond divided horizontally into two, the top half being lighter in colour. This is reminiscent of the 1st Infantry Division (South Africa) divisional patch. "Morgan Dryslwyn" has been written in the margin of the negative.
