Glamorgan, 'collectanea',&c.

Miscellaneous extracts and 'collectanea' mainly relating to Glamorgan and including a transcript by Walter Calverley Trevelyan, Edinburgh of prayers to King Henry VI; an account of the manor of Walterston, Glamorgan; extracts from the Davies of Cringell manuscripts, etc., much of them in the hand of John Montgomery Traherne, with a fragment in the hand of William Davies, Cringell.

Royal pedigrees,

A vellum manuscript containing a chronicle and genealogy ('linea Genealagie') [sic] showing the descent of Welsh and English kings and princes from Adam to Brutus ('primum regem Britonum') and thence to Henry VI of England. The genealogy, written in black, red, and blue, comprises 'linea Saxonum', 'linea Saxonum Anglorum & Juthorum', 'linea principum Cambrie', 'linea monarchie britonum', 'linea regulorum Westsaxonum', 'linea regulorum Northumbrorum', 'linea regulorum australium Saxonum', 'linea regulorum orientalium Saxonum', 'linea regulorum Merciorum', 'linea regulorum orientalium Anglorum', 'linea regulorum Deirorum', 'linea regulorum Cancie', 'linea principum Wallie', 'linea principum Venedocie', 'linea principum Demecie', and 'linea ducum Normanie'. The manuscript was completed on 25 January 1453/4. The spine is lettered 'Genealogies of the Kings of England. MS. Temp Henrici VI'.

A manuscript containing transcripts by Angharad Llwyd (1780-1866) of Welsh chronicles, pedigrees, etc.; a fragment of a 16th cent. Welsh manuscript containing a chronicle of the reign, 1422-1461, of Henry VI (1421-1471) and a list of Welsh poets and crythorion; an elegy by Katherine Philips (The Matchless Orinda) (1631-1666) on the death of Mary Lloyd, Bodidris, Denbighshire, 1656; a copy by W. W. E. Wynne (1801-1880) of a cywydd by Owen Gruffydd (c. 1643-1730); a letter to Angharad Llwyd; etc.
