Thomas Hooker ([Boston, Mass.]: Michael Perry, 1695); and (b) in manuscript, 'Sarmones preached by Mr Thomas Spurden precer [sic] of the Gospel in the towne of Rushmer in Suffolke ... 1671', written by John Berdwell. The sermons, two in number, were preached in 1670 and 1669 respectively. A 'Thomas Spurdance' is listed in Venn, Alumni Cantabrigienses, where he is described as 'R[ector] of Rushmere, Suffolk, during the troubles'.
