An Esay towards the History of Brecknockshire (transcript)

A volume containing a transcript by William Hall, Brecon, made in 1793 when he was aged 16 (see p. 135), of 'An Esay towards the History of Brecknockshire' written in 1698 by Hugh Thomas, herald and antiquary. Two letters, 1930, from Gwenllian E[lizabeth] F[anny] Morgan to the Venerable Henry James Church Jones regarding the provenance of the original manuscript and copies of it have been tipped in between pp. 137 and 143.

Draft address by Gwenllian E[lizabeth] F[anny] Morgan on the history of the town of Brecon; together with a prospectus for Aberhonddu: Some Notes on the Past History of the Town of Brecon in South Wales by Gwenllian Morgan (ff. i-ii), which apparently was not published. It appears that the address was intended to be included as the first chapter of this proposed work.

Draft of an article by Gwenllian Elizabeth Fanny Morgan entitled 'The Vanished Rood of Aberhonddu', relating to the history of the rood, rood-loft and screen which once stood in the Priory Church of St. John the Evangelist, Brecon. Apparently intended as a chapter in the author's proposed work on the history of Brecon (see MS 13851B, ff. i-ii).
