A scrap-book,

Two scrap-books, compiled by 'Golyddan', containing press cuttings of the controversy in Yr Amserau, 1851, on poetic metres between 'Ieuan Gwynedd' and 'Gweirydd ap Rhys', a controversy on music between 'Ap Musicus' and Edward Stephen ('Tanymarian'), and other cuttings of literary interest; and a scrap-book compiled by Catherine Prichard ('Buddug') containing literary press cuttings, including material relating to John Robert Pryse ('Golyddan'), with a draft letter by Robert John Pryse ('Gweirydd ap Rhys').

Some two hundred and sixty-seven letters, October 1857-November 1858, addressed to the Rev. John Williams (Ab Ithel), Llanymawddwy, Merioneth, mostly concerning the organisation of the Eisteddfod ('Eisteddfod Fawr Llangollen') held at Llangollen, Denbighshire, 20-24 September 1858.

Many letters, especially from Ab Ithel's friends, also concern a variety of other matters. A single letter, from Edward A. Freeman, Dursley, is dated 25 October 1850 (ff. 1-2).

Ysgrifennwyd y llythyr ar gefn dalen brintiedig yn hysbysebu Llawlyfr yr Anibynwyr am 1887. = A letter, 19 October 1886, from [the Rev.] E[van] P[an] Jones, Mostyn, to Gweirydd [ap Rhys, i.e. Robert John Pryse] apologising for failing to return a book. The letter is written on the back of a printed flyer advertising Llawlyfr yr Anibynwyr am 1887.

A collection of twenty-three letters written by Robert John Pryse (Gweirydd ap Rhys, 1807-1889) to Andrew Brereton (Andreas o Fôn, 1827-1885), one letter being imperfect, another undated, and the remainder written at various dates between 17 April 1857 and 18 April 1883; another letter, unsigned but dated 9 May 1885, has been inserted into the collection but is not in the hand of Robert John Pryse.
