Some ninety-eight letters, postcards and telegrams, 1898-1940, addressed to Annie J. Davies (later Ellis, later Hughes-Griffiths). The correspondents include [E.] Vincent Evans, T. Gwynn Jones (3), J. Herbert Lewis (3), David Lloyd George, Margaret Lloyd George, Lord Rendel (6), C. A. F. Rhys Davids (2), W. Llewelyn Williams and [Sir] John Williams (2).
Also included are some six miscellaneous family letters; together with a letter, 25 February 1911, from J. Lloyd Williams to Mrs Mary Davies (Mair Mynorydd) concerning the work of the Welsh Folksong Society (presumably passed on by Mary Davies to her friend Annie Ellis).

The file also includes a photograph of the final letter sent by Llewelyn Williams from his deathbed to Lloyd George and correspondence between Dame Margaret Lloyd George and Mrs Sarah Evans, sister of W. Llewelyn Williams, regarding the contents of this letter.

Letter, [?27 May 1928], from Margaret Lloyd George, Kensington, to a Mr Lewis, concerning her daughter Megan's selection as the Liberal candidate for Anglesey (f. 51), together with a Christmas card from David and Margaret Lloyd George, Brynawelon, Criccieth, 1927, including a portrait of the couple (f. 50).

Copies of 22 speeches given by Dame Margaret Lloyd George (1918-1921) relating to politics, charity functions, social work for the poor and the war wounded, the opening of schools, exhibitions, bazaars, an unveiling of a war memorial, presentations of awards, and addresses to major conventions. Also contains transcribed copies of the speeches, and also contains notes by the donor (grandson of Rev J.T Rhys) providing additional contextual information (2019). A booklet titled 'Mrs. Lloyd George Goes to Lampeter: 17th June 1919, A Rhys/Rees Story in Three Parts ' (see JTR MLG SP4 Lampeter Cardiganshire Liberals 17th June 1919) written by the donor is also included; originally a supplement to an exhibition in Lampeter Museum and a prior publication 'A Lampeter Family Story 1870-1971'.
Also contains copies of four letters from Viscountess Nancy Astor, 3 of which are to Mrs Lloyd-George, and 1 to JTR. Notes regarding the information and context of the letters from the donor are included.
