Mounted press cuttings of poetry in strict and free metres by R. Elias ('Meillionog'), together with marginal emendations and additions in the author's hand. Among the titles are 'Iaith fy Nghalon. Ar ol fy nwy Eneth, sef Morfudd Elias, yr hon a fu farw Ionawr y 25ain, 1876, yn 17 mis oed, a Mary Lizzie Elias, yr hon a fu farw Chwefror y 6ed, yr un flwyddyn, yn 2 flwydd a 9 mis oed'; 'Can o Glod i'r Parch. D. Davies, Gweinidog y Ddinas. Buddugol yn nghyfarfod cystadleuol y Ddinas, Tachwedd yr 11eg, 1871'; and 'Penillion o Glod i John Thomas, stonecutter, &c., Treforis. Meillionog.

Dyddiadur y weinidogaeth,

A volume, in Welsh, containing a detailed record kept by David Rees Davies, in journal form, of events during his ministry at Tabernacl Baptist church, Foxhole, 1878-1901 (NLW MS 22248iC). Included are details of preaching engagements and of baptisms and burials at Tabernacl and other chapels in the area; together with a list of baptisms, 1875-1891, and burials, 1874-1894, of members of Tabernacl church (inverted text ff. 68v-70v). Papers found loose inside the volume have been filed separately (NLW MS 22248iiC) and include a letter of commendation, 1840, to David Davies to minister from the Independent Society meeting at Tre-boeth (item 1).

Morgan, secretary of the church, delivered at the jubilee celebrations of the church, 1918 (ff. 36-45).

A notebook containing a brief account in Welsh of the ceremonies of the laying of the foundation stone of Brynhyfryd Baptist church Schoolroom and of its official opening, with details of preparations for the opening, 1880-1881. The account is in the hand of the Rev. D[avid] R[ees] Davies, Foxhole.

A typed/handwritten transcript by the Rev. O. M. Lloyd of a manuscript account by William Harry, Swansea, of events connected with Mynydd-bach Congregational church and Caersalem Newydd Baptist church, Tre-boeth, near Swansea, 1838-1885. William Harry records (f. 3) that his account was based mainly on the manuscripts of the Rev. David Davies, minister of Bethania Baptist church, Clydach (see NLW MSS 19054iE and 21733A).
