Attached to the upper and lower end-papers are brief notes on 'Myvyr Morganwg' by Henri Gaidoz [see 561]; a list by Llywarch Reynolds, Merthyr Tudful, of the published works of 'Myvyr Morganwg'; and a holograph letter from Llywarch Reynolds to Henri Gaidoz, 1880 (relating largely to the life and writings of 'Myvyr Morganwg').

Eisteddvod Ode

The autograph manuscript of an ode in English, with a Welsh translation, by John Ceiriog Hughes (Ceiriog), which was composed for competition at the Aberystwyth National Eisteddfod, 1865. The ode bears the nom-de-plume 'Arthur Tudor' (f. 6).

Seven volumes (T6/16-22) appear to been used by school pupils to copy out English poetry, later re-purposed by Taliesin for his own Welsh poetry.

A copy of John Ceiriog Hughes, Oriau'r Hwyr (Ruthin, [1860]), with press cuttings of reviews on blank leaves bound in at the end of the volume.

Caneuon

A notebook containing holograph versions and press cuttings of poems by Ceiriog, many of which were included in Yr Oriau Olaf published by Isaac Foulkes in 1888. Some of the press cuttings are of translations of poems into English.
Loose items have been placed in an archival envelope.
