History of the British Camps Tomens Cromlechs and Meini Hirion in the district of Lleyn and Eifionydd,

A volume containing pen and wash plans and drawings under the title 'History of the British Camps Tomens Cromlechs and Meini Hirion in the district of Lleyn and Eifionydd'. Facing the title is a 'Map showing the Sites of the British Camps Tomens & Cromlechs in the districts of Lleyn and Eifionydd' but there is no key to the numbers on the map. Some of the captions towards the end of the volume are in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). There are one or two inserts, etc.

Translations of articles from Archaeologia Cambrensis,

A notebook containing translations into Welsh of articles and notes largely of Llŷn interest from Archaeologia Cambrensis, Vols. I-IV, 1846-9 (not in the autograph of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'), except for the references to Archaeologia Cambrensis.) There are also some loose papers, including a translation in the autograph of R. P. Morris of a note on Bodwrda, Aberdaron [Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1849, p. 208] sent to 'Myrddin Fardd', and translations in another hand of notes on inscribed stones at Llannor and Cefnamwlch [Archaeologia Cambrensis, 1847, p. 201, and 1859, p. 53].

Hynafiaethau a hanes crefydd yn Llŷn, etc.,

An imperfect manuscript of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') containing writings on the antiquities, ecclesiastical history, etc. of Llŷn, a list of high sheriffs of Caernarvonshire, 1540-1793, and miscellaneous press cuttings. A label on the outer upper cover is lettered 'E'.

Poetry and notes,

A notebook designated 'Copy No. 2' containing brief accounts of Nefyn and Tre'r Ceiri, with notes on Capel Odo, Bettws, Cappel [sic] Angelog, Eglwys Fair and Capel Ergan, etc. At the reverse end is a record of the sermon texts of various preachers at Tremadog chapel, 1809-37 ('Coflyfr o'r Testynau yn Nghapel Tremadog' - the exact dates are not given, only the year), followed by items of poetry including 'Awdl ar Brydferthwch' by [John Edwards] 'Eos Glan Twrch' and 'Awdl ar ddyfodiad teulu Tudur i Orsedd Prydain' by 'Owain Cyfeiliog, Bryn yr Awen, Gorphenaf 15, 1821'. The hand is probably that of John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') throughout.
