A manuscript volume entitled 'Y Gell Gymmysg; sef, Casgliad o Amrywion Ganiadau, Gan Y Parch. Roger B: Clough, Periglor Corwen: Parchwr a Choleddwr- y [sic] Iaith Gymraeg a'i Barddoniaeth' containing 'Englynion i'r Gell Gymmysg a'i Pherchenog' by Robt. Davies, Nantglyn, Y Parch. Roger B. Clough, Morgan Davies, (?) Nannau, Peter Lloyd, Gwnodl, Thomas Edwards, Corwen and Thomas Jones, Corwen; a series of 182 'Pennillion' [i.e. 'Hen Benillion']; a few 'Beddargraffiadau' and 'englynion' or other items of verse, some dated, by various poets including the following: Robert Davies, Nantglyn, Lewis Morris, Edward Evans, Gwyddelwern, Hugh Moris, Griffith James, John Roberts, Hersedd, Morus ap Robert o'r Bala, [John Jones] 'Ioan Tegid', Y Parchedig Walter Davies, Y Parchedig Roger B. Clough, John Jones, Glan y Gors, Thomas Gwynedd, William Edwards, Ysgeifiog, John Owen, Holywell and Griffith Williams, 'Gutyn Perys' [sic]. The volume is probably in the autograph of the Reverend Roger Butler Clough (1759-1833), vicar of Corwen from 1811 until his death. There are a number of blank folios after p. 68 but on the final page are four lines of verse described as being 'on a window at the White Horse Inn Holyw[ell]'.
