Correspondence relating to sports boycotts, in particular those opposing rugby and cricket tours of South Africa, supported by the Anti-Apartheid Movement (AAM), its affiliates, and the international community. Correspondents include the National and Olympic Sports Conference of South Africa (NOSC/NSC), the African National Congress (ANC), Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), South African Non-Racial Olympic Committee (SAN-ROC), The Wales Trades Union Congress (WTUC) and the Welsh Office, amongst others. File also includes copies of correspondence between Peter Hain, MP, and members of NOSA, the Urban Foundation, the NSC, and others, regarding rugby links with South Africa. Also includes some AAM and WAAM press releases, copies of conference statements and of related news cuttings.

Papers relating to an international conference "Southern Africa: Making Hope a Reality" organised by the AAM in co-operation with the United Nations Special Committee against Apartheid which took place in London, 14-15 July 1993. Material comprises the Conference Secretary's Report, Declaration, and a draft paper by the Secretary, Abdul S Minty, entitled "Southern Africa: Towards a new Agenda for International Solidarity."
