Typescript notes on the manufacture of stained glass, with reference to the stained glass windows in Coventry Cathedral, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, Liverpool, St Chad's Cathedral, Wells Cathedral and the Great Hall, Birmingham University. The donor was the secretary, in 1933, of W. E. Chance and Co., Oldbury, Birmingham, a firm which produced handmade glass.

Reports, articles, lectures, 1951-77, reflecting the donor's academic interests and his work as an industrial arbitrator and chairman of various public bodies in the field of national health and industrial relations. Includes the donor's report as commissioner of inquiry into the difference in the South Wales coalfield, 1965.

Printed sources including biographies of the Duke of Wellington (1759-1852) and General Sir Thomas Picton (1785-1815) together with copies of the donor's address on 'Sir Thomas Picton and the Pictons of Pembrokeshire' to the Pembrokeshire Local History Society, 1958.
