Early personalia

The file comprises miscellaneous papers, 1918-1945, relating to Goronwy Roberts's early life and to members of his family. They include copies of his curriculum vitae and references written in support of his candidatures for posts, papers concerning his early career, and his candidature in Caernarfonshire in the Labour interest in the general election of 1945.

Souvenirs and memorabilia

The file includes various memorabilia, 1928-1981, accumulated by Goronwy Roberts during the course of his career. They include certificates, papers concerning his admission to the Privy Council in 1968 and papers deriving from his elevation to the peerage in 1974. There are also papers relating to his death in July 1981.
