Copies of The London Welshman

File comprises 3 copies of the London Welshman magazine, published by the London Welsh Association, dated January 1965, May 1965 and January 1967 along with page of the magazine dated March 1963. Each issue contains an article by Patrick Hannan. The January 1965 edition contains an article on the poet Alun Lewis (1915-1944), a book review by Patrick Hannan in the May 1965 edition has been cut out, and the January 1967 edition contains a book review by Patrick Hannan. The fragment from the March 1963 edition is an article by Patrick Hannan entitled 'Plaid Cymru: the children's party?

The April1965 edition contains an article by Patrick Hannan entitled 'Cardiff: Banne centre of a cultural desert' drawing attention to a lack of support for the arts, and the May 1965 edition contains a letter from a reader referring to the article.

File comprises letters to Patrick Hannan; correspondents include Dannie Abse, Phlip Weekes, Sir Richard Lloyd Jones, Michael Foot, George Thomas, Sir Bernard Ingham, Leo Abse, John Morgan, Sir Wyn Roberts, Anthony Hopkins and Kyffin Williams. The letters deal with various issues including Hannan's book on Aneurin Bevan, television and radio programmes and the 1984-1985 miners' strike. The file also includes a summons to appear before Cardiff magistrates Court to give evidence in the case against the leaders of the Free Wales Arms, including Julian Cayo Evans and Dennis Coslett on the 10th of March 1969.

Scripts for the radio programme 'in Britain Now'

File comprises scripts fr Patrick Hanna's contributions to a BBC Radio 4 programme entitled 'In Britain Now', where journalists from the 'regions' of the UK spoke on various topics . The topics covered by Patrick Hannan from Wales included devolution, Gwynfor Evans, the coal industry, miners' strikes, the clean up after coal, Plaid Cymru, Wales as a nation, the European Economic Community (EEC) and industrial illnesses notably pneumoconiosis. The file also contains typed transcripts of the programme which include contributions from correspondents in other parts of the UK.
