The expediency of obtaining a decision as to the rights and claims of the persons interested in East Fortoun under the marriage contract. He hopes his Scotch counsel may not find it necessary to institute any fresh proceedings. He will endeavour in the recipient's answer, in the English suit, to keep clear of the Scotch estate and the questions it involves. References to the weather, the recipient's pack of hounds, the writer's enjoyment of his old friend's society at Swansea, and the shooting at Edwinsford.
