A fully-indexed collection of culinary and medicinal recipes made by Madam Sidney Wynne of Melai, 1715.
A number of dried ferns and leaves which had been placed in the book are now in sixteen separate envelopes.

Medical recipes; a religious text entitled 'cursus de eterna sapienta'; a herbal; charms; 'the boke of vertuse and of wateres' by Dr. Gylys; and transcripts of deeds.

The manuscript is in two parts: The first part comprises medical recipes, mainly in English; and a rubric entitled 'Incipit compendium salernie que membris valent aut nocent'. The second part comprises a fragment of a medical treatise.

An early seventeenth century manuscript, fragile, written c. 1611-1621 and possibly earlier by Roger Williams, clerk, rector of the parish of St. Nicholas, co. Glamorgan [the scribe of parts of Llanstephan MS 41] and containing pedigrees, Welsh poetry, medical and veterinary recipes, etc. Roger Williams [TLLM, 41n, 213-4] was the son of Roger William of Prisk [in the parish of Llanddunwyd (Welsh St. Donats)] and he married Elinor Rees [daughter of Rhys Amheurug (Rees Merrick)]: his pedigree is on p. 27 of this manuscript (cf. Llanstephan MS 41, p. 173). A folio or folios are wanting at the beginning and someone has written the words 'The Isue [sic] of Gruffydd fawr [De Radyr]' opposite the first page (p. 4). Much of the volume was probably compiled during the late 1840's, but there are additions to the early 1870s.

A manuscript consisting largely of transcripts and memoranda by Mary Richards and Thomas Richards of Darowen. The volume appears originally to have been used as an account book of receipts and disbursements in respect of the farms of Llwyn, Cafnmaelen and Byrthlwydd [parish of Dolgellau, Merioneth], 1799-1802, and also to record biographies of [James Crichton, 'The Admirable'], Sir Francis Walsingham, Sir Francis Drake and William Cecil, Lord Burghley. William of Nassyngton's Speculum Vite, here called 'liber sapientiae'; a translation of the Speculum Ecclesiae of Edmund Rich, Archbishop of Canterbury ('this is ye tretyce of Seynt Edmond of Pountenay translated out of Frenche in to Englysche'); two religious poems, one beginning 'who so kon suffre & hald hym still', and the other being on the earthquake of 1382 - 'zhit is god a curteys lord'; and medical recipes.

Two collections of medical prescriptions.

A miscellaneous collection of culinary and medicinal recipes partly written by Meryell Williams of Ystumcolwyn.

A notebook containing medical and other recipes written largely in the same hand. Beginning at the end are entries of the birth of [his] children between 1727 and 1749/1750 (with some entries of death to 1801), and entries of the marriage of Frances Richmond Webb and Mr. T. Humphris at Swindon in 1734 and of the birth of their children between 1735 and 1754.

Three music books bought by Isaac Williams 'of Mr. Parry, Relieving Officer, Dolgellau, Sept. 1903' and bound together into a single volume. They contain hymn-tunes, anthems and psalm-tunes, mainly by John Williams, Dolgellau, with a few tunes by R[ichard] Mills ['Rhydderch Hael'], one by I. R. Ellis, Dolgellau, 1841, and traditional and anonymous tunes; a poem entitled 'Amgylchiadau Marwolaeth Crist', an 'englyn' ('Y Farchnad Ysprydol'), 'englynion' by 'Shion Rhydderch', three hymns ('Mae'r gwaed a redodd ar y Groes', 7 stanzas, and 'Wrth edrych ar y sail', 4 stanzas, 'Ni'm diystyrir gan fy Nuw', 1 stanza), and a recipe for a cough.

Fourteen day-books, 1880-1891, of Hugh Parry Jones of Llannerch-y-medd, co. Anglesey, doctor and a member of the famous family of Anglesey bone-setters, containing names of patients and details of medicine prescribed.

A volume, c. 1820, containing notes on the astrological practice of medicine and miscellaneous medical recipes, apparently compiled mostly from printed sources, notably Richard Saunders, The Astrological Judgement and Practice of Physick (London, 1747) and Nathaniel Williams, Pharmacopoeia, or Medical Admonitions in English and Welsh (Trevecka, 1793-6).

Miscellanea by W. J. Roberts ('Gwilym Cowlyd') - notes on Welsh books, literary figures, the 'chart of Queen Elizabeth for holding the Caerwys Eisteddfod, 1568', 'Achau teulu Pentref y Foelas', extracts from a Welsh pedigree book by Owen Gruffydd in the possession of Owen Jones ('Meudwy Mon') (Wynnstay MS 6), a note of reservation of a right to the Glan Geirionydd Bardic Union to hold Gorsedd Meetings at the Taliesin monument in Glan Geirionydd, 1895; and a transcript of a book of medical recipes.

M. Downing at his 'Grand Musical Repository', Bristol, and a printed copy of 'An Elegy on the late Reverend John Wesley'.
