Stray papers of the Waddingham family, some of which relate to the Hafod estate, Cardiganshire, 1794-1910, including transcriptions, 1794, of notes on lead mines by Lewis Morris; cost and contract books of Bwlchyranos and South Hafod Lead Mines, 1859-1868; printed Cardiganshire election registers, 1862-1865; miscellaneous press cuttings collected by T. J. Waddingham; estate administration records, including agreements to sell timber for shipbuilding from the Hafod Estate by William Chambers, 1857 and papers relating to water supply and railways; return of copies of a crown land survey adjacent to Hafod, 1845; and various printed pamphlets.

An anthology of Welsh verse ('cerddi', 'dyriau', 'carolau', 'cywyddau', and 'englynion') and some prose, begun by William Elias in 1752, and including several selections from the works of Owen Gruffydd of Llanystumdwy and Goronwy Owen. Other poets represented are 'Aneuryn Gwawdrydd' ('englynion y misoedd'), Dafydd ap Gwilym, 'Dic y Dawns', William Elias, Wm. A collection of poems, medical and veterinary recipes, and miscellanea entitled 'Ail Biser Sioned sef Casgliad Cadwalader Davies [Gwyddelwern] wrth ei bleser . . .', with some additions. The poems include 'carolau', 'cerddi', 'cywyddau' and 'englynion' by Hugh Morys, Dafydd Nanmor, Maredudd ap Rhys, William Wynne, John [Siôn] Cadwaladr, Jonathan Hughes, Lewis Morris ('Llywelyn Ddu'), Ellis Roberts, Rees Ellis, Roger Thomley, Ellis Cadwaladr, Matthew Owen, Edmwnd Prys, Dafydd Manuel and others. A valentine from Cadwaladr Davies to Jane Jones is dated 14 February 1749.

A collection of 'cywyddau' attributed to Dafydd ap Gwilym (17), Dafydd Nanmor (2), Hugh Morys, Madog Benfras, Iolo Goch, and Rhys Cain; 'cerddi' by Ellis Roberts Cowper, and Lewis Morris ('Llywelyn Ddu') ('Llythur Cymun Morgan Goch y Melinydd', with an addition by William Jones, and 'Cerdd Marwnad Llewelyn bach o Gaer ludd'); 'englynion' by Merddyn Emrys and Huw Huws; and an English 'charol to be sung on Christmas morning' by Hugh Hughes, 'late of Foel near Llanerchymedd'.

A composite volume containing transcripts of miscellaneous Welsh poems, some incomplete, in free and strict metre. The original, brown, paper cover is inscribed 'Amryw Gerddi, Cywyddau, Awdlau, &c., o waith y Beirdd. Date 1766', and the contents include free-metre verse ('cerddi', etc.) by 'Brys Bras Brwnt', Robert Williams, Robert Roberts, Dafydd y prydydd Hir (o Lan fair Talhauarn), Maurice ab Robert, Evan Ellis, John Cadwaladr, Hugh Jones (Llangwm), Rouland Jones (? of Pandy, Llanuwchllyn), Rees Jones, and Thomas Edwards; 'cywyddau' by Rice Jones, Edwart Rouland, Griffith Philip, Thomas Prys, Lewis Morice, Richard Phylip, Hugh Lloyd Cynfel, 'Y Cardwr Du', Dafydd ab Gwilim, Siôn Tyddur, Ellis Rowland, John Dafis, Morys Dwyferch (sic), and Richard Edwards; and 'englynion' by Hugh Jones (o Langwm).
