Mortgage (Assignment for 99 years of lease) for £600 of land whereon 1 had erected a watercorn grist mill, dressing machine, drying kiln and stable, being part of the farm of Thomas Assheton Smith of Vaenol, co. Caern, esq., called Penllyn, p. Llanddeniolen, and assignment of a policy of insurance for further securing repayment. Recites the above mentioned lease, dated 25 March 1838, by Thomas Assheton Smith to 1 for the term of the lives of Hugh, Henry and Elizabeth Hughes, sons and daughter of John Hughes, and should they die before the expiration of a term of 60 years, then to hold the premises for the residue of the said term.
