Note-book titled 'Cywyddau y XVed a'r XVIeg ganrif', containing transcripts from several Welsh manuscripts [most of which belong to the collection held at Cardiff Free Library] including Cardiff MSS 5 (Llyfr Elis Gruffydd), 7 (Llyfr Vicer Woking), 16, 19, 20, 26, 47, 48, 63, 64, Phillips 8393. The used leaves of the note-book are numbered 1-302. 1905-09. [Many of these cywyddau are included in W. J. [All of the englynion transcribed here appear in W. J. Gruffydd's anthology Blodeuglwm o Englynion, published by Morgan and Higgs, Swansea, 1920; and the majority of the other pieces are included in W. J. Gruffydd's Y Flodeugerdd Gymraeg, published by Gwasg Prifysgol Cymru, Cardiff, 1931. There is also a copy of W. J. Gruffydd's poem 'Ynys yr Hud' which appears in his volume of that title, Ynys yr Hud, published by Y Cwmni Cyhoeddi Addysgol, [Cardiff, 1923].
