Manuscripts, 1707-[1937], from the library of Richard Bennett of Llanbrynmair and Caersws, Montgomeryshire, much of which is in the hand of Richard Bennett himself. The collection comprises material largely of Montgomeryshire interest and includes parochial records, transcripts from parish registers, extracts from probate records (some of Merionethshire interest) and genealogical records, and extracts from printed works relating to Montgomeryshire.

Llanbryn-mair assessments, &c.,

A group of parochial records of Llanbrynmair, including assessments on Rhiwsaeson and part of Tyrymynech towards the church, 1728-1740; a fragment of an assessment, 1742; vestry minutes, 1741-1745; and receipts to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor, 1720-1825.

Llanbryn-mair bonds,

Bonds (of indemnity in respect of parochial settlement and bastardy, and for the performance of covenants) given to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the parish of Llanbrynmair, 1748-1804.

Llanbryn-mair apprenticeships,

A certificate, 1821, from the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the parish of Carno to those of the parish of Llanbrynmair, of the legal settlement in Carno of Richard Jones, a poor boy apprenticed to John Jones, tailor, of Tallerddig, parish of Llanbrynmair; and deeds of apprenticeship of Rees Richards, son of Evan Richards of Hendre, parish of Llanbrynmair, farmer, to Salathiel Jones of Machynlleth, painter, 1833, and of Evan Richards, son of Sarah Richards of Hendre-Pennant, parish of Llanbryn Mair, widow, to David Williams of Aberystwith, draper, 1842.
