General letters, 1940, to Lord Davies, many relating to the conduct of the allied war effort. Many are from politicians and public servants who are noted individually at file level. Files A7/4-A7/5 comprise copies of letters sent out by Lord Davies during the same year, many concerning the war effort.

David Davies: Secretaries' Correspondence,

Letters, 1918-22, sent out on behalf of David Davies by his various secretaries, on a wide range of subjects. These include agriculture, forestry, demobilisation, and post-war reconstruction. Many of the letters relate to the running of the Gregynog estate. Some letters discuss the internal affairs of the Montgomeryshire Liberal Association.

The letters discuss the building of new houses, financial matters, property owned by David Davies in Canada, the treatment of conscietious objectors after the war, the management of Gregynog Estates Ltd., and various other business matters. There are a few references to the work of the League of Nations Union.
