Adapted from Irish author Jamie O'Neill's novel of the same name, At Swim, Two Boys depicted the developing relationship between two boys set against the backdrop of Ireland's 1916 Easter Rising. The winner of the 2005 Theatre in Wales Award for Best Dance/Physical Theatre Production, the show toured for three years at major theatre festivals throughout Britain and much of Europe. In 2011, Earthfall revived their production of At Swim, Two Boys to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the novel's publication. Bakkus, an exploration of fanaticism and cultism, was Earthfall's third collaboration with Poland's Chorea theatre company and toured in both Wales and Poland. The production drew mainly from Euripides' The Bacchae and incorporated choral music derived from traditional and ancient sources. Influenced by the underground arts scene of late 1950s/1960s New York City, The Factory utilised a multi-media approach of dance, image, film and live music. The production was premiered in 2010. Earthfall's 2013 production Chelsea Hotel, a poetic tragicomedy incorporating dance, live music and film, captured the lives and loves of some of the best-known residents of this iconic establishment. The show toured Wales and England and received the Wales Theatre Award for Best Small Scale Dance. A short experimental work whose title and inspiration was taken from an anthology of poetry and prose by art critic and novelist John Berger. Incorporating song and film, the production was a collaboration between Earthfall and the Welsh Independent Dancers and Man Act theatre companies. Forever and Ever was commissioned for the UK Year of Literature (1995) and was the result of Earthfall's collaboration with Irish author Jamie O'Neill. Material relating to the ten-minute short film Too Old To Dream, the product of collaboration between Earthfall and an over-70s group in Blackwood, Caerphilly, South Wales. Scripted by Earthfall founder members Jessica Cohen and Jim Ennis, the film was based on a childhood memory of one of the cast members, about half of whom were over 75 years of age. Too Old To Dream was premiered in Cardiff in 1998 and subsequently shown at film festivals in England, Ireland and Europe. Material relating to Hodē Galatan, a multi-media production which combined ancient Greek song with contemporary images and movement in depicting a narrative of love and war. The show, premiered in Wales in 2003, was the product of a collaboration between Earthfall and Polish performance company Chorea which began a long-standing partnership between the two groups. Stories from a Crowded Room was Earthfall's 25th anniversary production. The show was a highly sensory experience, involving vigorous dance, live music, text and encircling film.
