A royal charter of Confirmation by king Henry III, to his well beloved and faithful Wrennoke son of Kenewreycke and his heirs for ever, of all the lands and tenements which the said Wrennoke had in Wales on the day when David son of Lewelin late Prince of North Wales gave him to the king as a hostage for his (David's) fidelity, to wit, Brenfannucke, Thowennane, Bodelinnin, Doldrewyn, Maisegwycke, Belkathe, Kylkowyne, Bodleman, Thorrewothe, Kevenkangucke, Thanvihangelle and Thlayevain. Witnesses:- John de Burgh, Herbert son of Peter, John de Grey Justice of Chester, Paulinus Peyner, Robert de M[uce]gros, Bartholomew Peche, Richard de Clyfforde, Robert de Wauncy. Extract from the extent made by Hugh de Bekele, and by recognisance of the tenants of the single villates, enrolled in 1334 viz:- The Villate or township of Brynfannyng contains 415 acres divided into two lecta, "gwely" or "Beds", one in which are 3 parts of he same Wele (Gwely) in tenure of the progeny of Kener ap Iorworth ap Goger; the other containing the fourth part, is called Wele Garth. Iorworth ap Eign' ap Kener, Eign' ap Grono ap Kener, and others, hold the moiety of Welle of Kener ap IorWorth, paying neither Tung [Twnc] nor Treth [Treth, tax.] nor Amobir [Amobir, maiden-fee], nor any other service, except to follow the prince in his army, as do the others of Wyryon Eden: the other moiety of the same Wele is escheated, etc. Marginal note:- Gwely Kener ap Ior'. Copy of an enrolment in the Court of the town of Abergele, Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York, being Lord thereof, whereby Thomas Talbot was admitted by the lord tenant to the whole of the lands, etc., of Abergele English and Welsh, for forty years at a yearly rent of l0sh. payable at the Exchequer of Dynbiegh or Denbigh, with details of escheated parcels. Extract from the Roll of the proceedings in the second Court of the heirs of Kener and Eden, in their manors of Llaithvayn, Bodleuyn, and .... before Gruffyth Lloyd ap Hoell, Steward, held on Monday after St. Andrew's day, 18 Edward IV [A.D. 1478], whereby the right of Ieuan ap Ieuan ap Bellyn, a proprietor of the said heirs in the town of Llayth[vayn], who died without heir within the fourth degree of consanguinity, is sold to Llewellyn ap Ithel ap Jollyn: in the said town within the lordship of Dynbiegh, at the same yearly rent; and seisin given. Salesbury, Esqre., the elder, lieutenant of Sir William Stanley, Knt., Steward of the Lordship of Denbigh, whereby David ap Gruffith ap Ieuan Goz surrenders half an acre of land in the town of Kylkeyn, to the use of David Lloit ap David ap Conus, etc., paying relief 6d., fine 12d. Septemb., A.D. 1486, to David ap David ap Goz ap Eignon. With form of absolution on the back. Vellum. Latin.

Lease by John Scaltok, burgess of the town of Dynbiegh, to Isabella, daughter of Gruffith ap Ieuan ap David Holond, wife of Res ap Jenkyn ap Llewellyn, of two pieces of land within the franchise of the said town in "Le Foren", i.e., the forensic or outer part between the High street and the stream called Pedlere Siche, etc., for 40 years at an annual rent of 2sh. 6d., and so from 40 years to 40 years at option of the lessee. Bond by John Scaltok to Issabella, daughter of Gruffith ap Ieuan ap David Holand, wife of Res ap Jankyn ap Llewellyn in £40. to observe covenants dated 1 Mar. last "and over that if the said John and his heires at eny tyme when he or they shall be requyred by the said Issabella or hir ehires will make a playne surrendour in the fforen Court of Dynbiegh of too places lying within the ffraunches of the said towne in the fforen up to the lordes londes as Erle of ye Marche to the behove of the forsaid Issabella and hir heires ... then this obligacion be voide," etc. Small seal, red wax, a lion couchant guardant.
