Includes the donor's report as commissioner of inquiry into the difference in the South Wales coalfield, 1965.

Printed sources including biographies of the Duke of Wellington (1759-1852) and General Sir Thomas Picton (1785-1815) together with copies of the donor's address on 'Sir Thomas Picton and the Pictons of Pembrokeshire' to the Pembrokeshire Local History Society, 1958.

File containing photocopies of biographical material relating to the Picton family, including three family trees, and notes on Glyn Picton, John M. W. Picton and Rhiannon Picton née James), together with photocopies of articles by the latter on the Welsh harp; a photocopy of a letter, June 1991, from Captain George Rocke, on behalf of the Duke of Edinburgh, thanking the donor for sending the Duke a copy of his lecture 'General Sir Thomas Picton and the Pictons of Pembrokeshire' (cf. box 3).
