A volume of transcripts by J. R. Jones (according to the entry in Cwrtmawr MS 1488B; see also Cwrtmawr MS 1000C), with some collations and annotations, of 'awdlau' and 'cywyddau' by Wiliam Llyn. A few additional transcripts at the end, as well as some of the collations, etc., are in the hand of J. H. Davies. There is a typescript index of first lines of the poems, again with manuscript additions by J. H. Davies. Inset are another list of first lines in the hand of J. H. Davies; an offprint, from Y Traethodydd, 1897, pp. 139-50, of 'William Lleyn' by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'); and a printed prospectus of a proposed collection by 'Myrddin Fardd' of 'The Works of the Bards of Llyn and Eifionydd'.

A volume lettered 'Hanesion Llyn ac Eifionydd', being a collection compiled by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') of literary, historical and antiquarian material relating mainly to South Caernarvonshire. A composite volume, originally owned by Owen Williams ('Owain Gwyrfai'), Waun-fawr, with copious insets, containing a folio (pp. [655]-656) from Baner Cymru, October 20 1858; a section ('Ordevices', cols 777-840) from William Camden: Britannia (? 1722 edition) with a map of North Wales by Robt. Norden (? from the 1695 edition); two keys to 'Coelbren y Beirdd', the one undoubtedly and the other probably in the hand of Edward Williams ('Iolo Morganwg'); extensive transcripts of Caernarfonshire and other North Wales pedigrees, mainly in the hands of Owen Williams and John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'); and imperfect notes relating to the history and endowments of the Free School, Dolgellau.

A volume consisting of a notebook which belonged originally to Robert Roberts, Ty mawr, Treflys [Caernarvonshire], 1775, containing mensuration tables, etc. and miscellaneous accounts, c. 1790-1815, mainly in Welsh, by Robert Roberts and one or more of his brothers. Over some of the pages and on additional leaves inserted at the beginning have been pasted cuttings of 'englynion' and other compositions mainly by Richard Roberts ('Bardd Treflys'; 1818-76); there are also some holograph items by Richard Roberts and transcripts by Ellis Owen, Cefn-y-meysydd and by John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd'). The contents include 'Cywydd am fenthig Lanter Mawrth 20 1844' and 'Cân y Palm oil', both by Richard Roberts ('Bardd Treflys').

A volume of poetry, chiefly in strict metre, written largely in the autograph of Owen Gruffydd (?1638-1730) between 1677 and 1692. Most of the poems are by Owen Gruffydd, but the following poets are also represented: Robin Ddu, Dafydd Gorllech, John Roger, Sion Phylip, Sypyn Cyfeiliog, Dafydd ap Gwilym, William Phylip, Gyttyn Owain ('medd rhai' 'Meredydd ap Rhys' in another hand), Ifan Tew Prydydd, Huw ab Iva[n], Bedo Brwynllysg, Edmwnt Prys, Edward Morys, Matthew Owen and Hugh Morys. There is a list of contents at the beginning and the poems have been correspondingly numbered. There are 'penillion' by William Elias on p. 309b. John Jones ('Myrddin Fardd') has supplied a lacuna in the manuscript from Peniarth MS 124. Almost all the 'cywyddau' in this manuscript, but not the 'englynion' and the poems in free metre, are to be found also in Peniarth MS 124, which is later in date than the present manuscript and written in a different hand. The pages have been numbered by Dr J. Gwenogvryn Evans and his report on the manuscript is in J. Gwenogvryn Evans MS 70a (under 'M[yrddin] F[ardd] 5'). If the information given on pp. 1 and 50 is correct, Owen Gruffydd was born in 1638. A note at the end (p. 238) of his elegy to Sir Roger Mostyn (d. 1690) states that the poet received fifty shillings for the 'cywydd'. There is a folio missing after p. 36 and another is wanting before p. 53.

Cwrt-mawr MS 466B], some dated 1826-8 (26 pp., repaired, incomplete); transcripts in various hands of poetry by [Thomas Williams] 'Twm Pedrog' (torn) and of a cywydd by Dafydd Nanmor; 'Duhuddiant i Eben Fardd a'i deulu ar farwolaeth ei eneth ieuangaf - Elizabeth, Medi - 1858' by [Robert Hughes] 'Robyn Wyn' (?holograph); transcripts of poetical compositions by [Evan Pritchard] 'Ieuan Llyn' or 'Ieuan ap Rhisiart'; part of an exercise-book bearing the names of R. Prys Morris, Dolgelley and Myrddin Fardd, Chwilog; and fragments including pedigrees of Bod Ilan (Llanvihangel y Pennant), Y Plas yngheiswyn (Talyllyn), Ynys y Maengwyn ynhowyn Meirionydd and Pughe of Mathafarn, taken from Lewis Dwnn.
