Royal Welsh Ladies' Choir,

Album, 1893-1922, containing press cuttings relating to concerts given by The Royal Welsh Ladies' Choir, conducted by Madame Clara Novello Davies, and their visit to America in 1893 where they won the Champion Prize at the World's Fair in Chicago. Nellie Griffiths was 'a well known Welsh soprano'.

Music manuscripts and miscellaneous papers, 1893-[1999], transferred on the closure of the Welsh Music Information Centre, Cardiff, comprising a large number of music scores and sketches. Among the composers represented in the archive are Robert Bruce, Dilys Elwyn Edwards, John Edwards, J. R. Heath, Alun Hoddinott, Arwel Hughes, Idris Lewis, Ian Parrott and Grace Williams.

Music by Daniel Jones, text adapted from the New Testament and translated from Latin hymns by the composer. Commissioned by the festival committee for the Llandaff Festival 1962. This work is dedicated by the composer to the Cathedral and Parish Church of Llanfdaff. [60 min.]
