1 John Wynne of Gwidder, co. Caern., esq. 2 Sir Henery Johnes of Abermarles, co. Carm., kt. Agreement that a bond of even date by which 2 is bound to 1 in the sum of £1,000 to perform covenants in a deed (dated 28 Jan. 1604/5) is to become null and void if 2 performs such covenants.

Note of John Gay that Robert Lloyde, gent., is to receive 1/6 of all arrears of rents recovered for the patentees, Sir Pattrick Murray, Sir James Oughterlony, kt's, and John Murray, esq., out of cmt's Penllyn, Estimaner, Talpont, co. Mer., the Abbey of Bardesey, co. Caern., and the College or Priory of St Peters in Ruthin, co. Denb. Recites that Sir Pattrick Murray, Sir James Oughterlony and John Murray were granted by the crown £10,000 to be levied from the arrears of all rents which were in charge or in super before any of the auditors of the Exchequer or Duchy and no part thereof answered between 1583 and 26 July 1607 and the arrears due in 1609; that Sir Pattrick Murray, Sir James Oughterlony and John Murray have deputed John Gay, gent., to be their agent to prosecute the said business; that Robert Lloyde, gent., has undertaken to discover certain of the arrears due to the Crown and passed by the said grant to the said patentees.

Devises all his m's and lands which he purchased from Thomas Bold, gent., in Brynerir, Rhos Owen and in t's Castellor and Perthkyrn, [p. Llansadwrn], co. Ang. to Edmund Griffith, dean of Bangor, and others in trust, the profits from which are to be used to maintain an Almshouse in Bangor for 6 poor men elected from p's Penmynyth, Aberdaron In Mellterim, Llan Gristiolis or Amlough, and the p. and town of Bangor, cos Ang. and Caern. Receipt of William Jones of Pentraeth, esq., for the sum of £50 from his cousin, Anne Williams of Chester for the use of the poor of Pentraeth. Additional notes: (i) dated 1 Jan. 1715 that William Jones has the £50 in readiness to be laid out at interest as soon as he can find a person who will give him good security for it to the use of the poor of Pentraeth; (ii) dated 12 June 1740 that the money has been laid out at interest which has been yearly paid to the poor of Pentraeth.

In pursuance of articles of agreement (dated 17 Oct. 1724) made upon the marriage of Paul Patton (sic), gent., and Mary, eldest daughter of Edward Griffith, whereby all his capital m. in Bagillt and his m's and lands in p's Holywell, Skeiviog, and Caerwys, co. Flint, are limited after his decease to Edward Pennant of Bagillt, esq., and David Parry of Cornist, co. Flint, gent., for 500 yrs as trustees to levy the sum of £1,000 for the portion of his youngest daughter, Margaret Griffith, and towards the payment of his debts, which said articles of agreement contain an article to impower him to dispose of the timber growing on the property to pay his debts, he bequeaths the sum of £700 to his daughter, Margaret Griffith, and £300 to pay his debts, and all the timber upon the property to Edward Pennant and John Lloyd of Caerwys, co. Flint, gent's, to dispose of to pay his debts. The residue of his estate to be divided between his dau's, Mary and Margaret. Copy.
