Letters to Eirene White

The file comprises letters relating mainly to her political career and public service, notably the general election of 1966 and her work as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, 1966-1967, Minister of State at the Welsh Office, 1967-1970, and Chairman of the Labour Party, 1968-1969. Many of the letters concern various aspects of Welsh affairs, and the rich array of committees, societies and organisations with which Eirene White was associated.
