The file comprises letters, 1959-1971, relating to awards presented to Rhys Davies, including an offer to receive the Rhondda Recognition Award in 1959 and the Welsh Arts Council award in 1971; together with a letter, 1967, informing him that his story 'The chosen one' had been nominated for the Edgar [Allan Poe] award for the best short story of 1966.

The file comprises a copy of the magazine House & Garden, April 1954, including an article by Herman Schrijver, an interior decorator and friend of Rhys Davies, and Vogue, June 1964, showing him with one of his many collections.
