Mynyddislwyn, Daniel Lewis, Minister of the Gospel and Philip John, draper, both of the town of Newport. Lease for three lives of Capel y groes, p. Machen, co. Mon. in trust for the Welsh Calvinistic Methodists, according to regulations set out in a deed of declaration dated 10 Aug. 1826, enrolled in the High Court of Chancery, to allow the chapel to be used for religious worship; to let the seats in the said chapel and to use the income appropriately; to convey, sell, mortgage or otherwise dispose of the said premises in accordance with official directions from the Welsh Calvinistic Connection, subject to the provision of proper receipts by the trustees; and to use moneys thus raised in accordance with offical directions, with further terms and conditions concerning the appointment of replacement trustees and the financial responsibilities of all trustees. Recites the original demise for three lives by John Jones of Llanarth Court, co. Mon., to 1 of a piece of ground in Machen, dated 1 May 1843, and that a chapel has since been erected on part of that ground for the use of the Welsh Calvinistic Methodists at their own expense.

Seven vellum documents, 1736-1758, comprising accounts for land revenues to Sir Henry Fox, Lord Holland and Richard Bateman, Receivers General of the King’s Revenues in South Wales. Each multi-page document lists the annual land revenues from the counties of Pembroke, Carmarthen, Cardigan, Brecon, Radnor, Glamorgan and Monmouth in South Wales. Signed by Lt Gen. Thomas Farrington MP of Chislehurst, Auditor of the Land Revenues for Wales, 1739-1750, and subsequently Thomas Wynn, 1761. Declared before successive Chancellors of the Exchequer, Robert Walpole, Henry Pelham and William Barrington.
