The group comprises letters, [early 19 cent.]-1966, numerous musical compositions, 1838-1943, and two plays, 1901-1960.

A holograph full score, [?1863], by Francesco Schira (1809-1883) of an Italian opera entitled 'Niccolò de Lapi; ossia, L'Assedio di Firenze'. The work was first performed at Her Majesty's Theatre, Haymarket, London, 1863.

Jacques Offenbach: 'In the Dusk of the Twilight'

This copy of Offenbach's 'In the Dusk of the Twilight', [?late 19th cent. x early 20th cent.], is possibly in the hand of Walter Slaughter and also his orchestration. The words for the vocal part have been omitted.
