P., surgeon, Blaenau Ffestiniog, the Reverend W[illiam] P[ari] Hughes, Dolgellau, and Wm. Davies, Junior, Managing Partner, The Diphwys Casson Slate Quarries Company, Blaenau Ffestiniog, the first (and presumably the other two) in support of their candidature for the posts of master and matron of Pwllheli Workhouse; and a holograph letter, 1936, from [Humphrey Jones] ('Bryfdir'), Rhiwbryfdir, to [J. A typescript essay entitled 'Casgliad o weithiau Sion Brwynog, gyda nodiadau hanesyddol a beirniadol' by the late the Reverend Gilwym H[ywel] Jones, Welsh Presbyterian minister, Blaenclydach, co. Glamorgan. The essay, under the pseudonym of 'Emrys', was awarded the prize at the National Eisteddfod at Holyhead, 1927, and pasted into the volume is a typescript copy of the adjudication of Professor Sir John Morris Jones and Professor Henry Lewis.

A holograph letter, 9 June, 1921, from [Sir] John Morris-Jones, Llanfair P. G., to [Sir E. Vincent Evans], containing a brief outline of the writer's personal, academic, and literary career. The letter was written on the occasion of the award to Sir John in 1921 of the Medal of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion, and was published almost in full in the Society's Transactions ... 1919-1920 (London, 1921), pp. 153-5. Also included is a holograph letter relating thereto, 9 September, 1936, from [Lady] Mary Morris-Jones to [Sir D. Owen] Evans.
