The archive contains papers created by various officers of, and departments within the university, along with associations directly related to the university. These include papers of the Court; Council; Senate; past governing bodies; principals; the Administration Division; Information Services; academic schools; the college chapel; the Lampeter Society; various student societies; St. David's College School; various university and university related publications; photographs and works of art; papers relating to individual members of staff and students; papers concerning the founding of the college; AUT papers and the papers of Gownsman Publications Ltd.

Personal papers,

The group contains Edwin Morris' personal papers, including correspondence, largely sympathy cards on the death of family members, along with a group of letters written to his friend Bill Gibbs during the First World War; papers concerning funeral arrangements for his parents, son and wife; newspaper cuttings concerning Morris, including obituary notices and tributes; personal documents such as his baptism certificate and passport; a selection of pamphlets and dinner programmes, and a series of appointment diaries with some personal notes.

Letters from Alfred Edwin Morris to Bill Gibbs,

Included are letters written by Morris when he was stationed in France during World War I; letters written whilst a student at St. David's College, Lampeter and whilst a student at St. Johns College, Oxford; letters written whilst he was Bishop of Monmouth; and letters when he was Archbishop of Wales. Some of the letters are addressed to 'Billy' (Bill Gibbs), and are signed 'Skipper' (Alfred Edwin Morris).
