[A mountainous view near Rhyd Ddu II]

Second in a series of slides showing the progression of a painting refered to as "A mountainous view near Rhyd Ddu." The sequence of images showing how KW starts a painting by sketching a scene and them completing it in oils. Three photos from this sequence appear in an article 'The Heart of the Landscape' in 'The Studio' for April 1962, p132-137. These are credited to Dr Gwilym Wynne-Griffith.

A smartly dressed man stands next to an elderly, but well cared for, blue pickup truck. Capel Nazareth, Drofa Dulog is in the background. This is probably Kenny Evans and his Pontiac, immortalised on pages 154 - 155 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer, 1991).

A farmer holding a Patagonian conure (Cyanoliseus patagonus) by it's right wing. The farmer is holding a stick in his right hand on which the bird is perched. This may be the incident mentioned on page 148 of 'A Wider Sky' (Gomer1991). See also slide 4689/160.
