The file contains autobiographical notes on candidates nominated for election, 1981, together with a list of the number of votes obtained by each candidate and correspondence with those elected. Those elected were Chris Torrance, Emlyn Williams, Richard Llewellyn, R. Brinley Jones, Barbara Hardy and Elwyn Jones. Apart from Emlyn Williams and Richard Llewellyn, their responses to the invitation to join the Academi have not been noted in this file.

The file contains voting cards, lists of votes cast and biographical notes on those nominated for membership, 1983, and correspondence regarding the nominations. Those elected were Cary Archard, Wynford Vaughan Thomas, Moira Dearnley, Mike Jenkins, Duncan Bush and Richard Griffiths. The file also contains a letter from Chris O'Neill accepting membership of the Academi, and Sian James, accepting a seat on the section's executive committee.

The series consists of accounts of income and expenditure, created between 1975 and 1978, but covering the period 1968 to 1978.
Welsh Arts Council grant applications
The file contains correspondence between the Academi and the Welsh Arts Council regarding various applications for financial aid made by the Academi, 1987-1989. The correspondence includes discussions on the franchise of the New Welsh Review and funding for the Cardiff Literature Festival.

The series comprises account books detailing receipts and payments to the English Language Section between 1987 and 1994. There is one general account book for every year for the first three years, splitting into two account books a year in 1990, to cover office accounts and activities. From 1992, petty cash books are also contained in the series. Most of the account books contain lists of members and associate members.
