Material relating to tours, concerts, festivals and other performance events given by members of Women in Jazz under various stage names such as the Roots Trio, the Women in Jazz Allstars and Wilson & Morgan's Café Society Ensemble, together with events participated in or organised by Women in Jazz, or with which they were associated.

Year of Literature 1995

Material relating to events surrounding 1995's Year of Literature and in particular the involvement of Women in Jazz , including proposals, aims and objectives and mission statement; funding applications and responses; press release; correspondence; and press cuttings. Jen Wilson was appointed a member of the 1995 Year of Literature General Advisory Group. Together with material relating to double bassist Paula Gardiner, pianist Stan Tracey and trumpeter Cris Haines, who were each commissioned by Swansea University's Department of Adult Continuing Education to compose new works to celebrate the Year of Literature.

Although this was a British-wide celebration of literature and the arts, Swansea's successful bid to host the Arts Council's Year of Literature in 1995 meant that the majority of events were held in and around that city.

Dylan Thomas 50th Anniversary: Dylan Thomas Jazz Suite 'Twelve Poems'

Material relating to the Dylan Thomas Jazz Suite 'Twelve Poems', a piece commissioned by the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the death of celebrated Swansea-born poet and writer Dylan Thomas. Composed by Jen Wilson, the Suite comprises jazz settings of twelve of Thomas's poems. The work was performed as part of the Sean Dunne Writer's Festival in Waterford, Ireland, at the 2003 Brecon Jazz Festival and at the Madog Center for Welsh Studies, Unviersity of Rio Grande, Ohio; however, funding for a tour of 'Twelve Poems' to mark the Dylan Thomas 100 centenary festival of 2014 was rejected. The material includes copious correspondence; funding applications; projected expenses; list of potential performance venues; enquiry sheets; press releases and previews; posters; concert programmes; performance contracts; and press cuttings; together with general material relating to Dylan Thomas and Dylan Thomas festivals.

Material relating to the Welsh-American abolitionist Jessie Donaldson, including information booklets, exhibition panel texts, etc relating to the multi-media presentation on Jessie Donaldson by Jen Wilson and other members of Women in Jazz as part of Black History Month, October 2002; photocopied texts from printed sources and printouts from online sources relating to the life and work of Jessie Donaldson; correspondence, including mainly emails between Jen Wilson and Patricia Donaldson-Mills, whose husband was a descendant of Francis Donaldson's family line; Heineken/Donaldson family tree (text faint); and enquiry sheets.
