[Ifor's Brother, Father & Uncles]

Three elderly men sitting on the ground, the one in the centre with a sheepdog. On their right is a younger man, standing, in a police uniform. The latter is believed to be Ifor's brother Vernon, the three men his father and uncles.

[Jamaican boy]

Photograph of a boy wearing a short-sleeved white shirt and a school cap. A wooden box on which is printed 'Virol Limted London' is strung around his neck by a piece of string attached to two nails in the sides of the box. The box contains pencils. This believed to have been taken by Joy Thomas (nee Morgan) on her scholarship to Jamaica in 1937.

Printed in the bottom left of the mount is 'Courtrai - Kortijik' a reference to the Belgian town of Courtrai, known as Kortrijik in Dutch.
