A volume, compiled [c. 1934], entitled 'Biographical Accounts of various members of the family descended from the Matthews of Wilnecote Warwickshire by Arthur Weight Matthews', giving biographical accounts of members of the family descended from Thomas Matthews (1747-1793) of Birmingham, a native of Wilnecote in Warwickshire.

Autobiography of 'Belpha',

An autobiography, dated at Luton 1916, entitled 'An Autobiography of Number 127 'Belpha''. The work, which was probably written by A. Weight Matthews, includes a list of publications and notes concerning the Matthews family. English. Formerly George Eyre Evans Bequest MS 398.

A thin parchment manuscript, 1909-1914, entitled 'A Roll of signatures of persons forming the congregation founded in the Good Templars' Hall, Chapel street, Luton, Anno Domini 1909'. Wareham Uniterian Chapel register,

A transcript of the register of South Street Unitarian Church, Wareham, Dorset, 1885-1917, including copies of the inscriptions on the tablets in the chapel. The transcript was made by A. Weight Matthews at Gothic House, Hunters Forstal, Kent, in Jan. 1917. English. Formerly George Eyre Evans Bequest MS 400.

Memorandum book,

A transcript of the memorandum book of events kept by Mrs Elizabeth Laugher for the years 1767 to 1775, the transcript and footnotes having been made by A. Weight Matthews, at Gothic House, Hunters Forstal, Kent. English. Formerly George Eyre Evans Bequest MS 401.

Baptist Churches Assembly proceedings,

A volume containing accounts of the proceedings of the General Assembly of Baptist Churches. Handwritten accounts are included for the years 1730 (held at Glashouse Yard, London), 1732-1733 (at White's Alley, London) and 1746-1747, 1749-1770 (at Samuel Fry's Meeting-house in Horsely Down, Southwark); together with printed accounts of proceedings for 1771-1785 and 1787. Most of the reports appear to have been sent to John Geere (?-1774), an elder at Webstone Baptist Church. Also included in the volume are the following items: a re-statement by the Baptist General Assembly of their belief in Universal Redemption following a division of opinion, the document dated 10 June 1731; a printed letter, dated 2 June 1773, of the committee appointed by the General Baptist Assembly to be circulated among the churches; a printed copy of W.M., A Letter to a Friend shewing the inexpediency of Card-Playing, Dancing, Horse-Racing and other Carnal Pleasures; a printed letter, 21 May 1783, from Joseph Jeffries at London, relating to the relief of poor ministers of the General Baptists and for the encouragement of young students; three letters, 1737-1757, transferring members to Dover Baptist Church from Baptist congregations in Canterbury and Deal; and a printed appeal, 1781, from the Baptist congregation at Little Sutton, near Sutton Coldfield, for money towards the building of a chapel. A scrap-book which belonged to Sarah A. Doidge, containing pen-and-ink drawings, watercolour sketches, photographs, poetry, letters, press cuttings, invitations, &c. The items include an undated letter of thanks from the morning class at the Finsbury School of Art, signed by the class and including the signature of Kate Greenaway, the illustrator; tickets, 1876-1877 and no date, to art exhibitions at the Society of Arts, Crystal Palace and Alexandra Palace; sketches of historical relics in Cornwall; a letter, 1900, containing information regarding the Doidge family of Combe in Milton Abbot, Devon; drawings made at Pompeii; two watercolour portraits of Miss Anwyl at Llugwy by S.
