Cafodd gais gan J. W. Jones, Blaenau Ffestiniog, yn gofyn am ddeg copi o ddarlith W. J. Gruffydd ar 'Islwyn'. Dywed mai Alexander Smith yw'r bardd a ddyfynnir ar glawr Caniadau 'Islwyn' a bod mwy o ddylanwad hwnnw na neb arall ar waith 'Islwyn'.

Mae'n ymddiheuro am y dryswch sydd wedi codi yngl?n â'r detholion o lythyrau'r Morrisiaid. Bu'n chwilio drwy'r ty amdanynt ac y mae am holi awdurdodau'r post yn eu cylch.

Dywedodd Swyddfa'r Post yn derfynol fod y llythyr yn cynnwys detholiad o waith y Morrisiaid wedi ei golli. Nid oes dim amdani ond ailddechrau ar y gwaith. Mae wrthi yn ceisio trefnu Cwrs Rhydychen am eleni. Gwahodd W. J. Gruffydd i roi dwy ddarlith ar lenyddiaeth gyfoes Lloegr yn ystod y cwrs. Mae T .J. Morgan wedi cytuno darlithio ar rai o elfennau barddoniaeth Gymraeg. Y mae J. D. Powell wedi cael ei ddyrchafu'n H.M.I. llawn.

File of autograph and typescript notes labelled 'Barddoniaeth a Rhyddiaith 1450-1650'; they deal, however, only with the poetry of this period. There are several sub-titles and the notes are fairly full. 28 ff.

File of typescript notes regarding the Welsh literature of the 19th century. After an introduction dealing with the main characteristics of the period W. J.
