The diary of William Owen [-Pughe] for the period 1 January 1811- 13 April 1835. The earlier entries, 1811- 1822, appear to have been recopied by the diarist in 1824-1825, and the entire manuscript is written in a very small neat hand. The contents include domestic news, information concerning the writer's literary pursuits, and references to Joanna Southcott and J[ane] Townley, etc., as well as details of weather conditions.

Three pages of an incomplete draft in the hand of Morgan Llwyd of a dialogue between an old man and a child concerning the Bible. The old man's last question is about the books read by the child (' ... mi fynwn wybod beth a ddyscaist oddiwrth y llyfrau a ddarllenaist'). It is not answered. The dialogue was probably never finished, as there is a blank space for a title at the head of the first page.

First World War diary of the poet and essayist Edward Thomas, 1 January-8 April 1917, containing descriptions of army life in England and France, observations on the natural world, and brief accounts of letters sent and received. It also contains the only known draft of Thomas's last poem, 'The sorrow of true love' (f. 29), dated 13 January 1917. The covers and leaves of the diary are heavily creased, suggesting that it may have been in Thomas's pocket when he was killed by a shell on the first day of the Battle of Arras on 9 April 1917. Three items found loose inside the diary's covers, including a draft of Thomas's poem, 'The Lane' [1916], have been filed as NLW MS 24030iiA.

'Per-seiniau Cymru', a collection by John Jenkins, [1824]-[1825] (watermarks 1814, 1820), of Welsh tunes 'cyfaddas i Destunau difrifol' ('suitable for serious subjects') (f. 1).
The volume contains 101 tunes, 52 of which are copied from Melus-seiniau Cymru (NLW MS 1940iA). Nos 1-47 (ff. 3-48) and No. 56 (ff. 56 verso-57) have the Welsh lyrics added. A list of contents is on ff. 1 verso-2 verso.

The volume includes poems relating to the historical/folklore character Taliesin including poems to Urien Rheged, Armes Prydain Fawr.

Minute book, 1915-1920, of the Committee for the Care of Wounded Welsh Soldiers in London Hospitals, organised by the London Welsh Churches.
The majority of the minutes are signed by the Committee's President, the Rev. H. Elvet Lewis. Items found loose within the volume have been either tipped in (ff. 15-16, 24, 28-29, 48) or inserted in an archival envelope (ff. 76-84).
