Norman Crider

Studio portrait of an American serviceman with a sharpshooter qualification badge with clasp and medal ribbons for the American Campaign and American Defense Service Medals. From his other insignia it can be deduced that he is in the US Corps of Engineers and part of the 27th Division.

[Private Goethe, Pembrey]

Studio portrait of an American serviceman with three qualification badges including Sharpshooter with rifle clasp and Expert with auto-rifle clasp. The negative has been inscribed "Pte Goethe, Pembrey." As other portraits of US servicemen also have Pembrey after their names it is probable that they were stationed at Pembrey. He can be further identified as an infantryman in the 28th Division.

Thomas, Gader House.

A couple, both in military uniform. He, presumably Mr Thomas, wears the polar bear divisional patch of the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division. His shoulder title ends with 'M.E.' She, presumably Mrs Thomas, has what maybe a circular cloth recognition patch on her left breast pocket.

[Soldier in Royal Army Medical Corps]

Half-length studio portrait of a soldier in the RAMC, identifiable by his cap and collar badges. He is also wearing a plain medal ribbon and the Royal Coat of Arms on his left sleeve. The medal ribbon is possibly that of the Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.

Head and shoulders portrait of a soldier, 'Royal We...' visible on his shoulder title and an unidentified (recognition?) badge below. Negative inscribed 'Davies, Tregib Cottage.'

[Two soldiers]

Studio portrait of two soldiers, both with the same tactical recognition patches and artificer trade badges. The soldier on the right is photographed on another negative (DCH Mil 791) which appears to record his name as "Richards, Caio Arms."

Jones, Llwynderis.

Head and shoulders portrait of a soldier wearing a beret. He is also wearing a tactical recognition patch on his right shoulder in the form of an inverted 'Y'

[Llandyfan Sailor]

Half-length studio portrait of a sailor in the Royal Navy. His trade badge - a twin-bladed air screw with letter A below - suggests his involvement with aircraft. His surname and 'Llandyfan' have been written on the negative, unfortunately his name is indistinct but appears to start with the letter 'T.'

Head and shoulders portrait of a sailor in the Royal Navy. There are indecipherable notes in the margin of the negative.

Studio portrait of two corporals from the Royal Army Service Corps, both wearing an Eighth Army Africa Star medal ribbon, photographed on either side of a younger man in military uniform.
