A. Masey, 1867, about Hafod-y-llan slate quarry. The papers also include evidence [c.1870s] by him on slate quarries in the neighbourhood of the proposed Merioneth railway from Ffestiniog to join the Cambrian Railway at Talsarnau; several items, presumably intended for publication in the local press, including reminiscences of 'Ysgol Pentre'r Felin', 'Ysgol Tremadoc', ‘Yr Eisteddfod’, ‘Maddeuant’, etc. Copy of W. R. Spencer’s Gelert's Grave, presented by Pierce Davies to H. D.
