Material relating to campaigns for democracy in South Africa organised and promoted by the Anti-Apartheid Movement and the African National Congress. Also contains material pertaining to campaigns assisting the struggle for freedom in other countries in the Southern Africa region such as Angola, Mozambique and Namibia.

Also contains informational copies of letters and correspondence sent to WAAM officers in relation to a particular subject or international anti-apartheid campaign.

General cultural boycott,

Letters, bulletins, press-cuttings, posters, and theatre programmes relating mainly to Welsh and UK cultural events promoted and supported by the Anti-Apartheid Movement. Includes items relating to performances by the Jones Choir and SAWCO's 'The Long March Singers Tour', and the cultural agreement between the Federal Republic of Germany and South Africa.

Printed material published by the AAM, the ANC, the UN, and others, on a variety of subjects including apartheid in South Africa, UK trade with South Africa, trade unions in South Africa, human rights and Namibia's struggle for independence. Also a collection of protest songs collected and used by members of WAAM in their campaign and fundraising activities.
