[Eight Soldiers]

Eight British soldiers arranged in two rows of four, the back row standing, front row sitting, three of them holding rifles. They are wearing an array of different cap badges. The presence of medal ribbons, wound stripes and overseas service chevrons suggest the photo was taken after the end of the First World War.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Three Royal Marines]

Studio portrait of three Royal Marines, identifiable by their trident shoulder patches, and in the case of the middle soldier, his cap badge pinned to his left breast.

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Lieutenant Rees, Ayrshire Yeomanry]

Studio portrait of a Lieutenant in the Ayrshire Yeomanry wearing an African Star medal ribbon with Eighth Army Clasp. In the top left hand corner of the negative is the inscription 'Rees' and another illegible word starting with 'G'

D C Harries, Rhosmaen Street, Llandilo.

[Chapman, R.N.]

Half-length portrait of a man in a Royal Navy cap wearing shoulder epaulettes with two chevrons, possibly a petty officer. Negative inscribed "Chapman", place name following illegible.

[Corporal Evans, ATS]

Half-length studio portrait of a corporal in the Auxiliary Territorial Service attached to the Royal Artillery (note collar badge worn on left breast of tunic) and wearing the divisional patch of the 38th Welsh (Infantry) Division and inscribed "Evans, Queens Club [?], Carmarthen"
