A folder of loose leaves containing an 'Album of Eminent Welsh Preachers' or 'Pregethwyr Hen Gymanfaoedd Cymru' prepared for the press by Lewis Jones (Rhuddenfab), Ruthin, 1 July 1888. A copy of Edward Jones, Musical and Poetical Relicks of the Welsh Bards ... (London, 1794), with a few annotations by John Dovaston. Among items tipped in are transcripts by Edward Jones of Welsh, English and Irish airs (ff. 1, 73, 106) and a letter from him to Dovaston, 16 January 1817, concerning Welsh folk-tunes and other national airs (ff. 74-75). The letter is in answer to Dovaston's letter of 25 December 1816, which is part of Cardiff MS 4.130.

At the beginning is an extract from a letter, dated October 7, 1825, from John Jenkins ('Ifor Ceri', 1770-1829) to Thomas Beynon, archdeacon of Cardigan.

Christy Davies, secretary of the Welsh Baptist Ministers' and Missionaries' Wives Prayer Union, 1950-1953; Baptist Union of Great Britain and Ireland papers and printed material, 1930-1978; Baptist Union of Wales papers and printed material, including copies of The Inset, 1941-1978; and Baptist Missionary Society papers and printed material, 1905-1974, including English and Welsh copies of Prayer Partners, 1933-1974.

Notes and transcripts made by Joseph Herbert Canning relating to local history, in particular to Catholic history in Monmouthshire, [1921]-[1929].

Forty three notebooks, 1873-1915, the majority of which are numbered and labelled with a list of contents, recording inscribed stones examined by John Rhŷs mostly in Wales, the Isle of Man, Scotland, and Ireland. They contain descriptions of his journeys, of stones and inscriptions, folklore and other related notes. Also included are unbound diaries of 'ogham hunts', 1883-1899.

Numerous collections of folk songs and hymn tunes accumulated by J. Lloyd Williams before and during his period as Editor of the Journal of the Welsh Folk-Song Society, including material which he himself had recorded and items submitted to him by others. Indexes, lists, related notes and press cuttings are also included.

Printed items on a wide range of subjects and issues many of them concerning educational matters, the National Library of Wales and the Calvinistic Methodist denomination.

A notebook designated 'Y Melin Brith', containing Unitarian Doxologies by Iolo Morganwg, some Unitarian hymns, and Byron's Hebrew or Jewish hymns, etc. The pages are numbered 1-32 and there is an outline of the contents on the cover. There is also another copy of the Byron hymns, with music and some notes on 'Jewish Sacrifices, and Ritual', etc.

Holograph manuscript music for Welsh and English vocal works, [?1950s]-1964; songs, 1918-[?1963]; orchestral works, 1939-[c. 1943]; works for wind and strings, [1930s]-1962; works for strings, including quartets, [?1920s]-[?1946]; pianoforte quintets, quartets and trios, [1920s]-1944; works for violin and pianoforte, 1920-1949; and miscellaneous works, [c. 1920]-1958.

Reports on, together with transcripts and translations, 1868-1937, of records held mainly at the old Public Record Office, now The National Archives (TNA), prepared by Messrs Hardy and Page, record agents, Lincoln's Inn, London, together with relevant legal papers, some drawn up by James G. Wood (1843-1928). The searches were undertaken at the request of solicitors, and used as evidence in legal disputes, often relating to manorial lands throughout Wales, including foreshore rights, mineral rights, and fishery rights.
